On Thursday 2nd October, Year 6 visited  London Zoo. To consolidate knowledge of how animals are categorised into groups. All the pupils had a terrific time.  

On Tuesday 23rd September, Year 6 visited Battersea Power Station for an inclusive rugby day run by IMAS (International Mixed Ability Sports). This was being run to coincide with the Women’s Rugby World Cup and was a brilliant opportunity for the Year 6 pupils to see what Rugby was all about.

Oland Geese had an amazing adventure at COAM, traveling back in time to learn about the Iron Age and Stone Age! In the Iron Age workshop, they had fun grinding grain into flour, making and cooking flatbread, shaping clay pots, and churning butter—just like people did long ago. This term Rhenish Geese visited the National Portrait Gallery,   They attended a workshop on portrait-making while exploring paintings by various artists. They also learned about artists whose work was inspired by Claude Monet’s paintings.    

Alexandra School hosted a winter bonfire in December for the younger year group classes.  There was hot chocolate to drink, festive bakes to enjoy, and festive songs to sing. Everyone enjoyed themselves.          

Bean Geese visited Al-Manaar, The Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre, as part of their RE learning. As well as learning all about Islam in an immersive way, they got to explore why a mosque is special and sacred. This included learning around location, architecture, and links to religious text. Romny Geese had been learning about different types of transportation in their humanities lessons. A trip was organised for them to visit the Transport Museum in London to look at transportation from the past and present.    

This term Andean Geese have been learning about ‘Romans’,  they visited Orley Farm School for an art session using Roman coins. They had fun making their own coin!  

On Friday 31st January, Emperor, Andean and Bean Geese visited Gunnersbury Park Museum. This visit was arranged to link to their topic of ‘The Romans’ for this term. They had fun at the interactive workshop and explored different aspects of everyday life in Roman Britain – from clothing to food and bathing. Pupils dressed up
