Parent Information

We encourage effective and regular communication with parents and carers – working collaboratively to secure the best possible outcomes for our pupils.

Communication takes the form of phone calls, emails, Fronter (password protected school website) and opportunities to meet.

We communicate online with parents, involving them in the everyday life of the school.

Each pupil has a secure section within the site, which can only be seen by the child, their parents and our school staff, so that they can view:

  • annual targets and assessments
  • individual education plans
  • examples of the child’s literacy, mathematics and science work
  • photos
  • annual review report

We work closely with families to provide opportunities for workshops, discussion forums and adult learning. For more information see the Family Services page.

We have strong and effective relationships with other agencies, enabling us to support families and signpost additional sources of help if required.

Parent Activity Sessions

Parent Activity Sessions are organised by the class teachers once per term. Parents are invited in to class to take part in an activity with their child.

This might be anything from a reading session to a science and engineering challenge!

These sessions allow parents to see their child learning in class and to meet other parents of children the same age.

I always felt she is in best hands, safe, happy and growing. As a parent, I felt that my opinion is respected and that I'm always welcomed in the school. You are all like family for us now.

After-school clubs

As a way of extending the services offered by Alexandra School, we also organise a range of after-school clubs for pupils including:

  • Cookery club
  • Street Jazz club
  • Art club
  • Martial Arts club
  • Multi-Sports club
  • Trampolining club
  • Brownies
  • Cubs

Support for Pupil attendance

If your child is finding school attendance difficult, you are not alone. Many children and young people with SEND experience challenges such as anxiety, sensory overload, or uncertainty about the school day.

The Eden Academy Trust provides practical guidance to help build routines, reduce stress, and support a positive, accessible school experience. Explore the resources here.
