School Uniform

School uniform is now ordered online from LeonardHudson. Please click HERE to access the website directly. 

We would hope that all children would have a school sweatshirt or cardigan, polo shirts and a PE shirt.

There are no other pieces of uniform that require a logo. All other items can be bought from anywhere you like.

 

 

 

Preloved Uniform

We are excited to offer a range of preloved children’s school uniform items, perfect for giving clothes a second life while supporting our school community.

Our suggested voluntary donations are:

  • £3 for a jumper or fleece
  • £1 for a T‑shirt

Any donation can be made in person at school, or through the SchoolMoney app. 

Choosing preloved uniform is a great way to be environmentally friendly, save resources, and keep our school community sustainable. Thank you for helping us reduce waste and support one another!

Information about our school uniform

At Alexandra School we expect all the children to wear our school uniform and look smart. School uniform and a smart appearance are important for the following reasons: 

  • Putting on a school uniform and looking smart puts you in the frame of mind to learn 

  • Wearing a uniform helps you to feel that you belong to a school (that’s why some members of staff like to wear school uniform tops too!) 

  • Our school uniform is a practical outfit that can cope with active learning and playing 

  • Wearing the school uniform when out and about makes the children easy to spot and not get lost 

  • The goose logo on our school uniform tops reminds us all about learning together   

We recognise and celebrate the identity of all our children. We are a community built on an ethos of equality and respect. 

Jewellery

One small stud in each ear can be worn by children who have had their ears pierced.  For health and safety reasons, no dangly or larger studs should be worn to school.  

Earrings will need to be removed or covered for PE activities please.

We recognise that children sometimes wear small items of jewellery for religious or cultural reasons.  Where these items are safe to wear in school, taking into account play situations and physical education, this is acceptable. 

What is our school uniform?

 Standard uniform:

  • Navy sweatshirt with logo
  • Navy polo shirt with logo
  • Navy, black or dark grey trousers, shorts, skirt or dress
  • Flat, closed toe, black shoes or trainers.

Summer uniform:

As above but with the option of blue and white gingham summer dress or navy, black or dark grey shorts.

P.E. kit (including trampolining and sailing)

  • White polo shirt with logo
  • Plain black, dark grey or navy tracksuit bottoms or shorts
  • Long-sleeved t-shirt for trampolining
  • Plimsolls or trainers

Other items of uniform can be bought from your choice of retailer and do not need to be branded. If you would like to purchase pre-loved school tops, these are available from the school office.
