Bean Geese visited Al-Manaar, The Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre, as part of their RE learning. As well as learning all about Islam in an immersive way, they got to explore
why a mosque is special and sacred. This included learning around location, architecture, and links to religious text.
Staff and pupil participated in prayers and were able to touch special objects within the religious faith. They learnt all about the special events that take place in a mosque like birthdays, community days, weddings and events for babies.
Lastly their visit allowed them to consider how a special place like a Mosque makes them feel!
