Our pupils took part in ‘The Captain Tom 100 Challenge’.
The children spent time in their classes coming up with some ideas of things we could do 100 times. We had baking 100 cakes, painting 100 pictures of Captain Sir Tom and doing 100 star jumps to name but a few. The children voted for their favourite 100 challenge to be completed on Friday 30th April, which would have been Captain Tom’s 101st Birthday. The favourite voted for was 100 water balloons!
We had such a fun afternoon and it was great to feel part of something special that lots of others were taking part in too, all around the world. It also reminded us all of Captain Sir Tom’s simple message of hope:
“Tomorrow will be a good day”.
