Monday 12th to Friday 16th July was Festival Week. Every day, classes took part in fun, festival activities and every afternoon we had live music playing from our new bandstand. To start the week in style, on Monday the Staff Band performed some of our favourite songs, including “This Little Light of Mine”, “Sweet Caroline” and “500 Miles”. All the children joined in with singing, dancing and clapping. It was a lovely afternoon!
The only note of sadness was that, for the last time ever, the Staff Band was led by Nick White, who has been leading our school in music for 18 years! Everyone at Alexandra School wants to say goodbye and thank you to Nick. You will be very much missed, but always part of our gaggle!
