World Book Day was celebrated in the last week of February at Alexandra School. During the week, children visited the local library, took part in story times and other book-related activities. Then on the Friday staff and children had a chance to dress up as their favourite book characters.          

Alexandra School performed at the Harrow Arts Centre Choir Showcase, alongside lots of other Harrow schools. They performed brilliantly in front of a packed audience! Their two songs were “Cover Me in Sunshine” and “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”. They were the smallest choir there, but we think they got the loudest cheers!

Alexandra Brownies tried their hands at decorating bags, they used their imagination and various styles and templates.

Alexandra Cubs were able to try their hand in still life and landscape drawings. They tried out different drawing techniques.      

Alexandra Cubs and Brownies were able to go to PWC pantomime ‘Babes in the Wood’ at the Peacock Theatre in Central London. There were lots of lights, dancing, music, energy and excitement.  The children absolutely loved the experience – all of them stayed awake for the whole show!!

Staff and pupils enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch. It was a bit of a squeeze, but the whole school was able to sit and eat together!

Alexandra School hosted a winter bonfire in December for the younger year group classes.  There was hot chocolate to drink, festive bakes to enjoy, and festive songs to sing. Everyone enjoyed themselves
