During the week leading up to the Coronation bank holiday weekend, every class at Alexandra School has had the opportunity to act out a Coronation Ceremony, with a crown, a cloak, a sword, a ring and a sceptre. Older classes have also talked about what makes a great leader and what changes they might make if they were king. We have made our own paper crowns, bunting and delicious scones. Then on Friday the whole school came together in the hall for a Coronation Afternoon Tea, for lunch. Children and staff tucked in to sandwiches, cakes and scones with jam and cream. We all dressed in red, white and blue for the day.
