Some Events from This Term
It’s hard to pick
out just a few events to feature, but here are some of my
Throughout this term, Anoushka and Emma have cooked
us delicious lunches, with a little help from the children.
Each class has taken a turn to prepare some kind of accompaniment
or condiment for a lunch one day. They have made garlic bread,
Yorkshire puddings, salsa, raita, foccacia, gravy, bread rolls,
seafood sauce, stuffing and roasted vegetables. This has all
been great practice for the...
Share Lunch! For the last school lunch of this term,
we all sat down together to enjoy a Ploughman’s lunch. Every
class contributed something to the feast: cheese straws, fresh
smoothies, pizza, Greek salad, rice crispie cakes. This is
a new tradition but one we very much intend to keep up!
School Photography Competition: All the children
took part in our biannual photography competition. The theme
was “Alexandra Looking Different” and the children were challenged
to take photographs of the school environment, but from a
different angle. School council chose the best entry from
each class, then the School Leadership Team were given the
final vote on the winner. We decided that it should be Mindipa
in Blue-winged Geese, for his beautiful photo looking up through
the branches of a tree. You can see his photo, and all the
other photos, on display in school.
Extravaganza: Thank you to all the parents who came
to watch our Extravaganza on Wednesday. If you weren’t able
to attend, or would simply like to watch it again, it will
be uploaded to Fronter over the break.
I hope that all
Alexandra children, families and staff enjoy the school holidays.
The summer term begins on Tuesday 22nd April. I look forward
to seeing you all then.

For this term, attendance for the whole school stands at just
over 96%. This means that a huge number of the children in
school are reaching or exceeding their target!
Congratulations, and thank you all for doing all you can to
ensure your children come to school as much as is possible.
