Alexanda School's Christmas Charity
We are raising
money for the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital Charity.
GOSH deals with more than 175,000 patient visits every year.
Donations help the hospital to buy equipment, fund research
and provide facilities which would otherwise be unaffordable
under the NHS . School Council have decided to ask for a contribution
of at least £2 for each Christmas concert ticket.
we design and sell a new school mug. This year the design
was inspired by the children’s enjoyment of the new SportZone.
The theme was “Playing Together” and the winning design
was by Simran Gorasia. The Mugs are £4.50 each. All proceeds
to our Christmas Charity. Please be generous in your contribution
to the appeal and buy one or more school mugs—they will
make lovely Christmas presents.
Mugs are on sale
at the Christmas Show, which will take place at 1.30 on Wednesday
14th December and again at 6.00 on the same day.
A new Knee for
One cold and rainy
Wednesday afternoon in January 1974, I was playing in a rugby
match. Can you identify my younger self in the teamphoto?
A nasty tackle did serious, lasting damage to my knee which
has given me problems ever since. Now I need to have a full
knee replacement. The operation will be in mid January and
I will be off school for several weeks. In my absence, Perdy
will be Acting Headteacher. With the full support of Governors,
Staff and Parents,Alexandra School will be safe in her hands.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Don’t forget - Children are back at school on Wednesday, January
